Finally on the Mawson trail

Well we have had our first couple of days riding. The trails have been great! As it is a bit cumbersome posting on my tablet I will leave the full report until later.
After a few days bush we are now at the campground at Wilpeena.

The plains...

Road trip to Adelaide

Well we made it to Adelaide! It was a fairly uneventful trip. We camped in Gilgandra and Euston on the way. I love the plains between West Wyalong and Hay, 200k's of nothing.....We have parked the car and are ready for the bus tomorrow.

I am having some problems publishing photos from my nexus.....

Does the world need another Blog?? Maybe not! But here it is anyway.....

I decided a blog might be a good way to publish some of our rides and other 'adventures'. Personally I like reading blogs and they have been inspired me to try new and some quite different things.
So if this blog inspires one person to try something different it has been worth it!

One other nice thing is being able to share our pictures and stories with our family (overseas and local) and friends.......

Before we get into the travel, the name. The blog is named after a song of a very well known Dutch blues band from my local Province in The Netherlands, Drenthe. The band is Cuby and the Blizzards, the lead lead singer is a true legend....Grolloo is the town where the band lived, they had famous people like John Mayall, Eddie boyd and Alexis Korner visit them in their farm house here in the 1960's.
The song is from a 1967 album called 'Groeten uit Grolloo'. I have allways loved this song...Fast,Furious and to the point!

Here is a picture of Donna with a bust Of Harry Muskee, Cuby, the singer of Cuby and the Blizzards in the town of Grolloo in the Netherlands.

Harry Muskee sadly passed away a couple of years ago....
